Exhibition in CES we had to get new information and pictures of LEGO Universe, a world of mass-game built of Lego. This role-playing game with combat elements and a construction tool – a vehicle structures with Lego blocks, a variety of display environments like towns and castles, jungles along the lines of Indiana Jones, samurai forts space stations.
NetDevil, the company which is developing the game, had tried her luck in the mass games without success with Auto Assault, a game MMO leaning heavily on driving and fighting with the tool – a vehicle. Now the company hopes to use the accumulated knowledge and experience in order not to fall into the same traps with LEGO Universe, otherwise society will be no future and just close.
An interview with game developers indicate that they are working hard to make the LEGO Universe compelling and enjoyable experience for fans of Lego. For example, one Lego brick complex twice more polygons in a whole figure – World of Warcraft, because to Lego full angles, hollows and bumps. Developers also created a special lighting effect to the reflected light whites look realistic as possible. Because the game will allow us to build what we want a huge pile of Lego blocks, developers have created automated mechanisms to be identified if what have built the world crude and inappropriate, such as genitalia or written form of curses.
